Moving from ‘what it looks like’ to ‘what it means’ will reveal the frame and value. Branded ideas reveal less than they present when deconstructing them for meaning and value. Technology (AI included) has no concept of frame because it does not grasp abstract ideas and creativity. Generative tools help make this point further, and so does the fact that we call prompt writing engineering. When applied to buildings, for example, engineering is rigid because of the laws of gravity and physics. Language has no such rigid constraints.
The rigidness we force on our frames of thinking in service of a tool’s promised value is worth being curious about.
