This is a rewrite of a post from 2016
We used to guess how our design was performing. Now, we have many dimensions of metrics we can observe and sense.
Within minutes, we can assess our decisions, allowing us to understand what it all means. This new paradigm for decision-making can manipulate (disarm) our intuition. If everything is measured against quantitive results, we could be made to think that the immeasurable (for now) is not valuable.
This change in decision-making is a change in design – for what is design, if not the accumulation of decisions.
