I was glad to come across this 2015 deck by Penny Potter. It provides a wonderful overview of adult development and complexity, with mentions of Paiget, Subject-Object thinking, Kohlberg, and more.
Rather than posting screenshots, I recommend going there and digging deeper to see where ideas and diagrams resonate. It would have been great to hear the live presentation, and the deck offers many jump-off points.
